Who We Are

Once upon a time, there was a spoiled, lazy princess who had absolutely no responsibilities or problems whatsoever. One day as she was meandering through the garden smelling the magnolias in her perfect world….oh wait! Wrong story and wrooooong princess! I don’t think I am spoiled (although I do love to be pampered) or lazy (although I sure would love to be some days). Responsibilities? Got ‘em. Problems? Of course. Perfect world? You have GOT to be kidding me! Do I have a big enough God to take care of all of that? ABSOLUTELY! But here are the things in this big ole world that do make my heart smile and my world a little more perfect….

*My Little Man’s wrinkle-nosed grin
*Starbucks’ White Chocolate Mocha
*Little Man’s insistence on showing me every new discovery he makes
*Seeing an elderly couple holding hands
*Sweatshirt weather
*Spending time with a true friend
*The ocean
*Seeing God’s grace cover my mistakes and shortcomings
*That rare block of time with no demands
*A warm patchwork quilt wrapped around me and Little Man as we read and snuggle
*Knowing that God is in control and that I can trust Him, come what may

My Family

I am joyfully blessed to be a work-at-home mommy to my 5-yr-old son, Little Man (obviously not his real name – GRIN!). I’ve been married for almost 20 years but unfortunately and unwillingly went through the process of a divorce at the end of 2010  (I’m still praying for a miracle in this area – see, I told you my life isn’t perfect!).

My Ministry

My main ministry is in my home to my family, in the church to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and in my community to my neighbors, friends and strangers. I have been blessed in that I get to use the talents and skills God has given me in order to do that ministry. I am a writer and Christian Mommy Mentor whose focus is helping Christian moms have an impact on their children’s spiritual development by being a Godly example and nurturing them as God gives us guidance in His Word.

I’ve had the humble privilege of speaking at and leading women’s Bible studies and small groups, developing a mentoring program, writing numerous projects and walking alongside coaching clients as they seek God’s will for their own lives. But the most humbling privilege of all is to be a daughter of the King of Kings, serving and honoring Him every day of my life.
